iconFirst off, I want you to take a look at this:
The room was filled with bright morning sunlight, illuminating the tiny vibrant pieces of tissue paper falling through space. The confetti continuously sprinkled down, catching in the air, and frolicking its way to the floor. All through the day, confetti softly rained down. By nightfall, the ground was covered with the delicate debris. At dawn, a change could be sensed. The falling confetti was no longer leisurely nor light. The new kind had a purpose, along with a thicker texture, and with little leeway it streamed down, oppressing the colorful mosaic underneath. Glimpses of vibrant colors could still be seen, barely visible. At sunset, crimson and orange hues permeated the room, staining the falling confetti vermilion. By nightfall it was as if the floor was covered in bloody snow, and the room was cold.
At long last, morning came once more, a weak sunlight spreading across the motley assortment of colors. But the confetti that was now drifting down was once again small, vibrant, and sheer. Slowly, the red ground soaked below, making way for the new layer of the clean confetti. It was a new day.

If you took the time to read it, comment what you think the purpose of it is. Then, you may enlighten yourself here: Confetti.

What’s your favorite genre of music? Mine are classical, rock, alternative, pop, and electronic. One artist from each (not particularly the favorite but one of): Debussy, Eagles, Gorillaz, Rooney, and Crystal Castles. There’s definitely more and stuff in between the lines, but I’m being short and sweet. :D

I wrote a new icon tutorial: Icon Tutorial #2. ^^ Updated icon categories are Femme & Men.

I also have some new pieces of art to share with you! The first is of Robert Downey Jr. (which OMGOMG I forgot to blog about Sherlock Holmes!! shitscrap…do that next time :frus: ) and the second is of Marie Antoinette. The latter is quite random, yes, but both were challenge entries. I’m happy with the way they turned out, especially the RDJ one, but I definitely wouldn’t mind feedback! :) I also have three new retouches: Tom Felton, Uma Thurman, and Courteney Cox (Arquette).

That piece is so creative; you write so good. Unfortunately, I read the purpose before I even finished reading the piece (silly me) so I don’t know what to say, sorry. xD We have the same music tastes but I like pop and electronic more. By the way, thanks so much for being a great host! I may not be the best hostee, but I try to be better everytime. The button is cool, so thank you again. :)

hahaa you know it’s never too late to get into neopets! you should go for it. i only go on neopets when i honestly have nothing else to do & i want to fill up some time. some of the games are really fun. my account once got hacked though. So I changed a bunch of my accounts’ passwords & now i can’t remember half of them. hahaha.

I’ve been using WordPress since..i looked it up because i wrote a blog about it but basically april 2008. :) I didn’t know about piczo until…umm 2008 too. haha but neopets, i signed up a year after that site launched! my friend told me about it. back then, there was just this shelf & it had like 10 or 15 games to choose from & now there are like thousands of games & there are categories for the games. lulz oh how times have changed. the layout has changed & the coding has changed too. it got kind of confusing for me.

i love the office! i’ve been using a bunch of my office icons because i’ve run out of icons to use (i’ve used them all already basically) so i’m using up my office ones. haha…until i make more icons.

all your artwork looks fantastic!! my favorite is the robert downey jr. one. oh man he’s sexy.

i have the same taste in music you do pretty much. well at least i like the same genres. i do like classical music in a sense but i’m more of an opera person. sometimes late at night this channel shows some crazy opera performance & i watch it before i fall asleep. the voices are just enchanting. i really like crystal castles too! everyone has kind of caught onto passion pit which is a really awesome band. i really like electronica/electro & trance hahaha. but sometimes i’m kind of tired of listening to mellow music (alternative/indie/pop like the band stars or broken social scene) & i have to listen to like rock to wake me up a little.

but anyway onto your blog: i love your piece. i also read the purpose before i finished reading your piece but when i read the blood part, i thought it had to do with something brutal. i had to re-read it because i think i read through it a little fast. after reading your explanation, i can really see what you’re talking about. i think you did a pretty good job. i know i should’ve gotten it the first time without reading your purpose but i’m like sick right now & my vision is slightly blurry. haha. :(

That’s such a good analogy for war, and revolutions. It also reminded me that sometimes after wars, people kind of celebrate victory and that also represents confetti, but also all the bloodshed and sadness that follows afterwards, when you’ve realized the “party is over” and that you have to clean the “confetti” up..

Thanks for understanding about my personal blog issue. That guy was a total douche! (pardon my french)

gah your new artwork is amazing!!! and erised is doing so well! you must be very proud!

I love what you have written, :) The confetti is a nice touch, At History today we were talking about war and revolution and all that. We’re learning about the Aztecs.
Tell me how you went for English!
My favourite genres of music are: Pop, Techno, Pop Rock, Dance…. yeah. I also like slow melodies and some folk too!
I love your new updates-will definitely try out that new icon tutorial of yours, ;)
I love, love, love the Robert Downey Jr. piece.

Sorry about the late answer.. You know.. school+homework and crankyness doesn’t fit well together.

Oh you’re so right! It doesn’t always look good with social media icons.. You have to make them fit into a layout, the style too, not just place some random icons :)
